J Family

Over a pre-session call, the mom expressed the desire to only have her kids' photos taken instead of the whole family. She chose the playground at Glyndon Park in Vienna for the location. She wanted me to capture mostly candid shots of her two beautiful children playing. A perfect choice of location and time to let the kids be who they are!

That afternoon, both the parents would step in here and there to engage with the kids, making silly sounds and funny faces, while I followed the kids around the playground with my camera. From the monkey bar to the swings, from the swings to the slides and lastly from the slides to blowing bubbles, I just loved seeing the delight and sparks in their eyes throughout the session. For them, it was just another day at the playground, thus allowed me to capture their genuine smiles and giggles!

Their sweet 9 year old daughter was eager to pose for me the entire time. She was not afraid to jump or hang upside down, and was always ready to smile. At the same time, her little brother was constantly on the go enjoying his favorite things to do on the playground. Towards the end of the session, the mom asked her boy if he would skip along the path to show me how he sometimes celebrates for a job well done. I was thrilled that he agreed! So precious. And he truly did an excellent job that day.
