J Family

Back in May, I had the privilege of photographing the two children of this sweet family. And this time I was excited to capture photos of the whole family together.

They live in a beautiful home in Vienna, VA. When I first arrived at the place and saw their house, I knew I had to do a family shot right at their door step! All the cute fall season decorations created the perfect backdrop for the family.

They have a big dog named Slash. But don't be fooled by his size! Slash is actually only one year old and very excitable and friendly. He was ready to play the whole time. So the challenge we faced during the first part of the session was to keep him still.

We used the hay they purchased for the upcoming Halloween party and it was just the right conversation starter. Both kids were excited to tell me about what they were going to dress up as and their favorite candies.

Before we wrapped up the session, I asked the kids if there was any shots they would like me to get. The big sister quickly brought out her softball gears and posed for me. As for the little brother, he chose to climb the tree. I loved seeing how they expressed themselves confidently!
